Based in northern Thailand, The SUBTERRANEANS formed in September 2018 through their shared love of making loud, guitar-driven music in damp and dimly-lit rehearsal studios.
After playing the main stage of Jai Thep Festival 2019, they sat down with producer Bruno Gsell to record their 5-track EP.
Taking its name from a National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recording of deep sea ocean noise of unknown origin , the album is a nocturnal, brooding and introspective journey to the roots of mountains, the floors of oceans and the heart of old feelings.
